Thomas is an emerging, self-taught oil painter located in Kingston, Ontario. His paintings are a visual dialogue between nostalgia and suffering, exploring how personal and collective memory shape one's emotional landscapes. The interplay of muted tones, soft light, and deep contrasts creates an atmosphere of quiet contemplation, where figures seem shackled between past and present. He is drawn to the ritual of painting as a means of capturing the melancholic beauty of a world in constant transition. Through this process, he hopes to provide a space for reflection—where the audience can recognize something within the work that resonates with their own unspoken emotions, bridging the gap between personal narrative and universal experience.
