Gallery Terms

The gallery is open to the public Monday through Friday from 9:00-5:00 pm and Saturdays 9-4, subject to change (i.e. holidays etc.). The gallery is staffed by Kingston Frameworks staff, and all sales are handled through Kingston Frameworks.
 
Publicity: You agree that images and information you provide may be used for publicity and marketing if your work is selected for an exhibition. We will help promote the show through our various social media and email mailing list. 

 

Digital Assets: Upon being accepted for an art show, please provide us with digital images and videos of your work, your studio, of you creating work and other interesting ideas. Our team will develop these assets into a digital media show that will pay on our Media Wall in the gallery to encourage people to learn about you and check out your show.

 

Show Schedule: Should your work be selected for a show, the Opening Date will be provided, typically a Friday. The Set Up Date will typically be the Tuesday 3 days before. The show will run for 21 days from the Opening Date. You will also be provided a Take Down date, which is the Monday after the show closes.


Set Up and Take Down: You must arrive by 8:30 am on the Set Up Date with your work ready to be hung or presented according to previously discussed and approved means. Generally speaking, wire is the preferred hanging method. 

 

Please contact us if you have questions regarding the installation, or potential display requirements, of any artworks that have been selected for exhibition. We do have a limited amount of space available for sculpture or three-dimensional art, however, we do not provide display pedestals.
 
 Typically, the installation will take three days with placement comprising most of the first day. The artist is encouraged to participate in the installation and may bring up to 3 helpers to expedite the process, however, our gallery coordinator and up to two other members of our team will be available. The gallery uses wall hooks and wire hanging. It is recommended that the artist(s) schedule a visit to scout the space in advance of any show/hang decisions.
 
Art Reception: The gallery will host an opening “Artist Reception” in Frameworks on the Opening Date. The reception date will be determined by the gallery director based on schedule availability. This is a free public event. You are encouraged to be present if possible.
 
Sales: The Gallery will provide services for anyone interested in purchasing artwork and will retain 40% for all artwork sold. The list of works and prices must be provided once the installation is set; we are prepared to process cash, checks, and credit cards and will hold all proceeds until the close of the show. Artwork that is sold may be collected by the buyer at the end of the exhibition; any shipping costs will be paid by the buyer. Any unsold work will be picked up by the artist (or those whom they have deemed to do so) at a scheduled date and time after the show has closed.

 

Payment: For works that are sold, you will be provided an Artist Sales Report with all money owing. Once you have received the Artist Sales Report, please prepare us a matching invoice for our records, that we will pay at the end of the calendar month in which we receive it.

 



Print Offer Options

 

Print Sales Service: Artists can make passive income from our gallery during and after their show through our print making services. When we agree to host your work, you may choose to authorize us to scan and print your work. These prints are open edition and come in standard sizes such as an 8x10 or 11x14 or other sizes that match the ratio of your original (we never crop your work unless instructed to). 

For an 8x10 sale, you will earn $20

 

For an 11x14 sale, you will earn $30

 

And for a 16x20 sale, you will earn $40

 

Kingston Frameworks and Works Art Gallery have full discretion as to how many works to print and show within the gallery.

By agreeing to our Print Sales Service, we will conduct a professional art scan at no charge to you that we can keep on file for you. We have dropshipping services available for all kinds of print and finished print products which you can offer to your own audience as well. 

 

For payment, we will provide you a monthly Artist Sales Report when your prints have sold with all money owing. Once you have received the Artist Sales Report, please prepare us a matching invoice for our records, that we will pay at the end of the calendar month in which we receive it.
